Peter Facinelli says fans will get to see a new side of Carlisle in 'Eclipse'

Out with the do-no-wrong doctor, and in with the vicious vampire . . . At least, that's the sentiment you might gather from hearing what Peter Facinelli ("Carlisle Cullen" in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) had to say about his part in the third Twilight film.

[W]hat I like about the third movie is that you get to see a side of Carlisle you haven’t seen before. You actually get to see what his vampire capabilities are because there’s some great battle sequences.

What side, exactly? Well, in Eclipse, Carlisle is right in the mix of the epic newborn army battle, and it's a common fact at this point that director David Slade and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg made a point of including the battle sequences in the film (a slight - but widely revered - deviation from the Eclipse storyline in that the book is told from Bella's perspective and she is not present at Carlisle's fight scene).
It'll be good to see more of Peter Facinelli in the film, especially as a Carlisle Cullen who causes wounds instead of fixing them!
