Tegan & Sarah want on 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' soundtrack

Already, there have been a few bidders for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's soundtrack. Perhaps, it's because the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon received ecumenical praise and was certified platinum a little more than a month after its release.

So far, Adam Lambert has made a big play in the mass media to get his music on the album . . . The National Rifle issued their own intent to try for it, and Lee Safar (a fan favorite) is still in the game for the soundtrack as well as Candace Charee. Finally, Muse is a likely contributor for the album - and they probably wouldn't have to try out for it either.

These plays for inclusion were a big highlight of pre-New Moon release fun, so it's good to see things kicking into gear for Eclipse.

This time? It's Tegan & Sarah, according to Canoe. The two have a large YouTube following and have appeared on the soundtracks for Grey's Anatomy (on multiple occasions), One Tree Hill, Ghost Whisperer, 90210, and Being Erica.

Tegan told Canoe that she'd "love to get a song on the 'Twilight' soundtrack" and "If they call us up for 'Eclipse' (the next installment based on Stephenie Meyer's novels) I will definitely do it, but mostly because I love the books." At first, she said, she "didn't understand what all the fuss was about," but then "my girlfriend was reading them I could barely get her to talk to me, but she convinced me to read them and I went through all four in no time." Tegan went on to tell the publication how her experience on Grey's helped the group's reach and that she "knows that having a song attached to one of 2010's most anticipated movies, can do wonders for a career."
